Release: AUBO i20 – A New Benchmark

Many OEMs have announced them, but only a few already introduced them to the market.

AUBO was one of the very first to release the new payload class to the market. Already in the beginning of 2022, AUBO sold the new i20 to the Chinese market. This early release is good news forAUBO i20 all overseas customers. AUBO had the chance to get market feedback to learn and improve, to create a stable, reliable version that satisfies the international customer base.

gerenga Service is expecting to receive their first demo unit within February and will publicly showcase it at the Intermach 2023 in May. Before that, you certainly will receive further information on our first impressions here and on gerenga’s social media channels.

And now to the i20. The previous generations of cobots had the end user to choose, if they needed the payload or the reach. All manufacturers had to reduce the reach of the 16kg model compared to the 10kg model.

As technology advances, end users will benefit. The new i20 comes with a reach of 1,650mm even though it can lift 20kg. With these specs still a repeatability of ±0.1mm can be achieved, which covers a wide range of applications; especially in this weight class.

The i20 opens up new applications for cobots or automation in general, where an industrial robot couldn’t be used due to limited space and therefore no possibility to install a safety fence. With the i20, you can disregard such strict safety measures.

We are looking forward to share more news after testing the i20 ourselves. Until then, please download the technical specification here:
